Valentine’s Day is about showing your love for those who are special and close to you, like loved ones, friends, and those who you appreciate. It’s the perfect opportunity to get seniors engaged, active, connected, and having fun together. Loneliness and depression are very real issues during the CoVid-19 pandemic that seniors face, even if they are living in a nursing home where they have many opportunities to meet new people and engage in different activities. Valentine’s Day is very nearly the anniversary of everyone in the U.K. being tasked with staying away from almost all other people. For some people, it’s been a lot longer, and will be longer still after the pandemic’s over.
In every case: This isn’t the worst year for sincerity, so try to have a heart.
